How old people are presented in television - homework

I watched a clip from Eastenders which focused on a character called Patrick.

One thing I noticed was how he always talked about the past.

He also talked about when he was young he used to go to Jazz clubs. This shows how times have changed, because now a days young people go to night clubs.

The background music was quite old too. (diegetic sound)

One of the camera angles near the end of the scene panned towards the left, I think this was because most people see the future with a camera pan to the right and the past with a pan to the left. This also emphasises the fact he is always talking about the past.

Another thing I noticed was that he was very religious. Now in modern  times religion is not so popular.

Patrick uses lots of phrases like "Back then" and "A long time ago"

His costume is also stereo typical old man clothes, a vest and baggy trousers.
